The Salton Sea

On Friday my friend Sam and I drove out to the Salton Sea to take photos. Here are some of those photos.

I can’t believe how beautiful this place looks in pictures. In person it’s pretty much a dump. The shoreline is FULL of nothing but dead fish and flies. It smells a million times worse than you could possibly imagine!

Proof that I was actually there.

I think littering would only help make the place smell better.

Salvation Mountain. There’s an old man named Leonard who has been building a mountain out of adobe clay and then painting the clay. Hard to tell from this picture but that hill is about 30 feet high.
